I grew up in Northern Saskatchewan, Canada, where I was raised in my Cree culture. My family, teachers, and elders encouraged me to continue pursing an Indigenous approach for healing, mainly because of my consistent injuries through soccer. With the encouragement and support, I continued my journey in healthcare.
My educational journey has led me to the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, completing a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry (2012). I used my Biochemistry undergraduate studies as a stepping-stone in completing my medical pre-requisites, allowing me to continue my medical education at Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine, New Westminster, BC, Canada (2016). Recently, I was at Bastyr University, Kenmore, WA, USA, completing with my Masters of Science in Acupuncture (2021).
